About The Job

The Event Assistant will assist the SUSS Alumni Relations team in the smooth delivery of the Age Well Alumni Network (Drums Up for Active Ageing) workshops and performances. The role involves providing logistical, operational and administrative support before, during and after each session to ensure a positive experience for alumni, participants, facilitators and volunteers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and pack down event venues, including arranging furniture, registration areas and event materials.

  • Assist with transporting, unpacking and packing exercise balls, pumps, plastic chairs, and other programme equipment before and after each session.

  • Support registration and attendee check-in, including welcoming participants and managing attendance records.

  • Distribute resources to participants as required.

  • Coordinate on-site catering arrangements where applicable.

  • Provide general assistance to facilitators, volunteers and participants throughout the event.

  • Carry out other event-related duties as assigned by the Alumni Relations team.
