Assistant Manager/ Manager (Compensation & Benefits)

Job Description

The Assistant Manager/Manager (Compensation & Benefits), supports the development, review and implementation of the University's Compensation, Benefits and Performance Management policies, procedures and programmes.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, formulate and review Compensation and Benefits programmes and policies
  • Drive annual compensation exercises such as performance management, salary reviews and performance bonus payment
  • Establish new or review existing compensation and benefits policies to ensure statutory compliance and in alignment with the University’s strategy
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking-&-analysis of compensation practices to determine University’s competitive position and recommend course of actions
  • Participate in salary surveys
  • Prepare materials to communicate effectively to Managers, staff and HR partners on new or revised HR policies, procedures and programmes.
  • Provide advice to managers, staff and HR Business partners on compensation and benefits, and performance management related queries
  • Oversee and monitor performance of vendors and third-party administrators such as insurance brokers

Job Requirements

Academic Education / Experience

  • Degree qualification, major in Economics/Statistics preferred
  • At least 7 years of HR experience in the area of compensation and benefits
  • Ability to analyse business requirements and possess general understanding of HR and integrate knowledge into HR policies, procedures and programmes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
