Assistant Manager (HR Business Partnering)

Job Description

The HRBP Assistant Manager will work closely with the HRBP Manager to provide the full spectrum of HRM support and advisory to the internal stakeholders as well as drive HR strategies to support business needs. The key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging internal stakeholders on people issues and challenges
  • Supporting employees needs at different stages of employee lifecycle, 
  • Handling employee grievances and relations
  • Managing HR policies and procedures  

 

Responsibilities 

  • The HRBP Assistant Manager will manage the full employee lifecycle of onboarding, employee management, employee retention, and offboarding. This includes tracking and processing confirmation and contract reviews, supporting performance management exercises, recording and maintaining staff records in HRIS and P-File, renewal of work pass, processing benefits, etc
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to streamline existing processes to improve work efficiency

  • To build a strong and credible business relationships with your assigned units and support your stakeholders effectively through:

    1. Proactively engaging with the assigned business units with the aim to understand their business plan/objectives, people challenges and manpower needs.
    2. Working closely with line managers and employees of assigned business units on HR solutions and strategies to improve work relationships, processes and motivate employees with the aim to improve work productivity and staff retention.
    3. Facilitating change management initiatives and communications among employees of the assigned business units for any key structural / leadership changes, new HR initiatives or projects.
  • Manage, provide advisory and recommend the course of action on all employee relationship matter (including discipline and grievance handling) with stakeholders and conduct objective findings.

  • Perform the role as a First-Respondent to employee to provide physical and psychological comfort and support.

  • To assist on HR related reporting and data analyses trending.

  • To support the annual manpower budgeting exercise and any specific projects as determined in the annual HR workplan

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related discipline with at least 8 years of relevant HR work experience with good knowledge of HR legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Meticulous with an eye for details and numbers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and is IT savvy
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and perform under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
