Assistant Manager/Manager (Business Development & Consultancy)

Job Description

In this position the appointee will support and implement Institute for Adult Learning’s efforts to drive adoption of workplace learning through the various initiatives. The appointee will report to the Director of the Centre of Workplace Learning & Performance (WLP) with the following professional responsibilities.

  • Conduct industry scans and research on enterprises
  • Meet with enterprises and perform an initial assessment of challenges
  • Gather information through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports etc.) as part of diagnosis and evaluation
  • Analyse and interpret gathered data 
  • Formulate recommendations and solutions with consideration to a clients’ needs, capabilities and constraints
  • Present findings and suggestions to clients with practical justifications
  • Assist clients in implementing the plans if necessary
  • Prepare reports, proposals and presentations. 
  • Design and develop practical and engaging continuing professional development courses supported by appropriate learning tasks and training modalities grounded in adult learning principles.
  • Engage with external vendors or parties to identify and curate relevant continuing professional development courses and workshops. 
  • Design and/or conduct training workshops if needed. 
  • Review learning content and eLearning/microlearning courses based on learning outcomes.
  • Conduct feedback reviews with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate effectiveness of learning content/courses and instructional designs. 
  • Support any other matters/projects that may require assistance from time to time

Job Requirements

  • ​​​​Minimum qualification with Degree. Candidates with a Master qualifcation will have an added advantage.
