About the job

Responsible for assisting the Cluster Head to manage the External Relations and Communications and Marketing teams within SUSS.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Cluster Head to provide strategic direction, planning, and development of engagement and communication strategies to cultivate and develop strategic partnerships internally and externally. 
  • Identify and establish strategic alliances and tie-ups with key stakeholders and partners, including government, companies and businesses, institutions, and associations.
  • Leverage the University’s relationship with key external institutional and industry stakeholders and partners including government, companies and businesses, institutions & associations, both domestically and internationally, to further the goals of SUSS and support the offerings of the University.
  • Generate leads, provide development and facilitation support to various potential partnership tie-up, which include identifying and seeking participation in regional and international platforms to foster promotion of international relations and collaborations.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the standards & protocol, policies, and procedures for engagements with external parties on strategic collaborations and relationship building as well as communications and marketing.
  • Oversee the management of the budgets related to the Cluster, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources.
  • Lead, motivate and manage the teams in creating a positive, innovative, and high performing culture.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 15 years working experience in relevant fields, such as business development, partnership & collaborations, with at least past 8 years in a supervising role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals.
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Cluster.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address opportunities and challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Always observe a code of strict confidentiality
