Executive, Centre for Applied Research (1-year contract)
About The Role
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day activities arising from the research projects and programmes within the University.
What You Will Be Doing
- Organise research forums, seminars, courses, and workshops to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Establish, manage, and maintain the department webpage and repositories.
- Coordinate the preparation, submission, and publication of research working papers. This includes managing the process for obtaining necessary ISBNs (International Standard Book Numbers) or equivalent identifiers for published works.
- Develop and maintain department policies, procedures, and records.
- Assist in tracking research expenditures, ensuring budget alignment and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assist in collation of research outputs for reporting.
- Assist with procurement of office supplies and onboarding of office staff and other office-related tasks.
- Identify and implement process improvements within research administration and office operations.
- Provide flexible support for special assignments and other tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any specialised field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet computations.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and good judgment.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
