Many of the wicked problems in society today require interconnected and interdependent perspectives and collective collaboration. The SUSS Core curriculum enables students to thrive in a VUCA world by equipping them with interdisciplinary & experiential learning tools and processes, enabling students to synthesise knowledge from multiple disciplines to address complex issues. Above all, we deepen students’ socio-cultural competence and social responsibility to the local and global community through sustainable, reciprocal engagement with partners on real-world issues.
The shortlisted candidate will report to the Head and provide support to the Office in Service-Learning in programming-related data management and analysis in collaboration with all stakeholders (including external organisations and SUSS faculty/staff). The candidate is expected to possess good data analytical, administrative, communication and organisational skills; and be self-motivated.
The successful candidate will:
- Support data management and analysis of all Service-Learning courses and initiatives.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g., SUSS staff, faculty/associate faculty, teaching assistants, SUSS students, and community partners) for data management and analysis.
- Utilise data analysis for Service-Learning programming and process innovations and enhancements, and team productivity.
- Support the planning and implementation of training, workshops, activities, events, evaluations, risk assessment and safety, university awards, and administrative duties that support Service-Learning programmes.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor(s), as well as support department and university activities.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or current undergraduate with at least 1 year of professional experience.
- Experience and interest in service-learning/community service/volunteering is preferred.
- Intellectually inquisitive; with strong data analytics, communication, writing and presentation skills. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, and a high level of integrity.
- Good coordination and administrative skills, with the ability to manage and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, and data visualisation software.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and graphic design software will be an advantage.
