Executive, Student Life (1 Year Contract)

Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) administers full-time and part-time undergraduate degree and graduate programmes.

SUSS Student Life (under Student SUcceSS Centre) aims to create an enabling culture that empowers students to maximise their personal potential. This is realised by supporting students to strengthen their well-being, and helping students develop their unique potential to contribute actively to SUSS and the wider community. SUSS Student Life also organises and implements student leadership, onboarding, inclusion and well-being programmes for the personal and professional development of students.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the team to organise, implement and support various systems, processes and programmes helmed by the SUSS Student Life and Student SUcceSS Centre.

We are looking for individuals who possess strong administrative and communication skills, and are passionate to the preparation and development of students.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support the planning and execution of Student Onboarding programmes, including Freshmen Orientation, First Year Assembly and other programmes that support students’ transition into university life.
  • Manage administrative duties related to Student Life programmes, including the pre and post event publicity, data management, procurement, finance, logistics, administration of tech platforms etc.
  • Liaise with SUSS departments and external stakeholders to coordinate Student Life programmes and courses.
  • Provide mentorship and advisory support to student groups, ensuring compliance with office processes and empowering student leaders in their leadership development and organisational growth.
  • Supporting the overall outreach and engagement strategies across both digital and physical touchpoints to strengthen campus vibrancy and students’ experience.
  • Manage and maintain Student Life’s engagement platforms, including developing content strategies, creating content and marketing campaigns, analysing engagement metrics and driving meaningful interactions across platforms such as email communications, SUSS internal platforms and social media.
  • Work across various offices within Student SUcceSS Centre and support the different functions and events as necessary.
  • Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor, as well as participate in university-wide activities.

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder with at least 1 year of relevant working experience. Experience in student and youth development will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in design and video editing software such as Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred.
  • Strong coordination, administrative and organisational skills.
  • Team player, with strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently with a strong eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
