Executive (Entrepreneurship Programme), 1 year contract (renewable)

The SUSS (Singapore University of Social Services) Office of Career Development is seeking an Executive for Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will support the

  • Development, execution and administration of entrepreneurship related programmes
  • Operations of the incubation and venture building programmes
  • Facilitation of workshops and events
  • Development of strong content for website, social media and related marketing materials, as well as organize and implement workshops and events
  • Liaison of corporations, organisations and institutions to strengthen academic-industry relations and to identify funding, incubation and mentor opportunities for SUSS student startups and aspiring student entrepreneurs
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative support when needed
Job Description

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about entrepreneurship; have awareness of current and emerging practices in the startup industry; are committed to help expand entrepreneurship offerings to ASEAN and China; have a keen interest in preparing and supporting young aspiring entrepreneurs and student startups; and are able to fulfill operational and administrative duties.

While the role is on a 1 year contract basis for the first year, it will be renewed based on performance.

Candidates should be intellectually nimble; have an eye for collaborative possibilities; and the ability to tackle challenging situations with finesse and determination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualise, organise events and activities to promote entrepreneurship amongst students.
  • Provide administrative management of entrepreneurship-related programmes.
  • Develop appropriate marketing communication materials and plan outreach activities.
  • Engage and manage relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assist in the overseas expansion of the universities’ offerings to ASEAN and China.
  • Undertake secondary appointments or duties in SUSS as required. 
Job Requirements
  • Degree Holder with 1-2 years' relevant working experience
  • Mature, meticulous and possess high level of discretion and integrity
  • Effective interpersonal skills with excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Resourceful team player who is able to work independently and display initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to do data analysis and information research
  • Ability to communicate well so as to act as liaison and help reach out to stakeholders, such as faculty and admin staff from other departments and divisions as well as associates and other stakeholders
