About The Role
The Executive / Senior Executive, Career Development (CD), supports the planning and delivery of operational and strategic initiatives that contribute to student employability and success. The role involves coordinating career-related programmes and events, supporting stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective communication and marketing, and assisting in data tracking and reporting. This role also acts as a key liaison across departments and partners to advance CD’s mission of empowering students for professional success.
What You Will Be Doing
- Programme & Operations Support
- Coordinate logistics and provide operational support for credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing Career Development programmes (e.g., CDO modules, career fairs, employer talks, mentoring sessions, workshops).
- Support course administration tasks such as class scheduling, student communications, and liaison with academic/administrative departments.
- Maintain programme documentation during planning, implementation, and post-programme review phases.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day running of CD initiatives in collaboration with the wider team.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with students, alumni, employers, and faculty to support the effective delivery of CD programmes.
- Provide administrative support in employer engagement activities such as recruitment talks, career events, and industry partnerships.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Support the collection, organisation, and analysis of data to generate insights for Career Development programmes and initiatives.
- Assist in preparing internal reports and submissions for audits, stakeholder updates, and university reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records related to student engagement, employer partnerships, and graduate employment outcomes.
- Familiarity with data tools, analytics platforms, or AI tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel automation) will be advantageous.
- Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of marketing and communication efforts for Career Development programmes and initiatives.
- Work with internal and external collaborators (e.g., COMMS, design vendors, student teams) to ensure messaging aligns with CD’s objectives and SUSS branding guidelines.
- Monitor outreach efforts to ensure effective audience engagement and support continuous improvement.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate efforts across the CD executive team to ensure effective workflow, communication, and alignment across projects and portfolios.
- Work with colleagues across the university (e.g., Student Success Centre, Student Records, schools) to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional projects or committees when required.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience: Experience in administration within an institution of higher learning or operations in a university/educational setting would be an advantage..
