Job Description

As part of SUSS procurement team, the successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Procurement Manager.

  • Assist in tender administration (such as timeline planning, prepare tender documents, review tender specifications, respond to tender queries, reviewing tender evaluation)
  • Ensure contracts (eg. insurance, travel agent, catering) are renewed timely by calling tender or RFQ, and evaluate for award
  • Perform data analytics on spend data to provide insights
  • Perform procurement process review and identify areas for improvement
  • Support category management and identify areas for cost consolidation
  • Engage stakeholders on compliance checks
  • Advise requestors on Material Management module in SAP system
  • Generate spend reports on purchasing transactions in SAP system
  • Other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma with at least 5 years relevant experience or Degree with 3 years relevant experience
  • Prior procurement experience within a centralized procurement environment in Institute of Higher Learning, Public Sector or large organization would be an advantage
  • Strong hands-on knowledge on SAP material management module and data analytics
  • Experience in the following areas would be highly preferred: Category management / Process review / Stakeholder Management
  • Ability to collaborate and interact with user departments regarding procurement matters
  • Effective interpersonal skills with good command of English
  • Resourceful team player who is able to work independently and display initiative
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
