About the Job
The Graduate Studies office is responsible for the governance and development of the University’s graduate programmes, which include Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Master's Degrees and Doctoral Degrees. In addition, the office manages admissions and recruitment of graduate students, working in close collaboration with the Schools and various academic and administrative units across the University. The Graduate Studies office also directly oversees two cross-disciplinary degree programmes: the Master of Social Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing the outreach and recruitment strategies and activities, and supporting enquiries and lead conversion to achieve the university’s graduate student recruitment objectives and targets.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and execute marketing and outreach strategies across online and offline platforms.
- Plan and conduct dialogue sessions with vendors, internal teams, partners, and prospective students.
- Create marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, videos, and social media content.
- Host visitors and present graduate program offerings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the impact of outreach events and engagement activities.
- Partner with Success Academies on international outreach and education fairs.
- Promote graduate programs on social media in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Update program details on websites and social media promptly.
- Analyze data to refine outreach and recruitment strategies.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices in student recruitment.
- Support admissions by responding to inquiries and organizing local and international events.
- Follow up on leads to boost engagement and enrollment.
- Develop platform-specific content strategies to maximize engagement.
- Strategize and manage business account development efforts.
- Participate in selecting and administering scholarships, bursaries, and discretionary admissions.
- Oversee admissions processes for international and transfer students, including graduate admissions operations.
- Organize and support events and conferences, monitoring public sentiments to ensure positive engagement.
Job Requirements
- A degree from a recognized university, preferably in marketing or related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in admissions and student recruitment, or at least 2 years of digital marketing and social media marketing
- A good understanding of the educational landscape of local and regional graduate studies and students’ preference
- Strong marketing skills, as well as image and video editing skills
- Experience in using various social media platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A good team player, problem-solver and multi-tasker
- Good analytical and customer service skills
- Able to occasionally work late
- Able to travel overseas
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
