About the job

The IT Operations Manager at SUSS plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure and systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT team, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement.

What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of SUSS's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all matters related to IT Operations and Service Desk management.
  • Implement robust measures to safeguard the network, systems, and data, enforcing IT Security policies.
  • Perform capacity management, optimising infrastructure resources for peak performance and availability.
  • Ensure validity and adequacy of software licenses for the IT Infrastructure.
  • Plan and execute technology refresh and preventive maintenance to uphold service levels.
  • Manage IT Infrastructure projects within budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Oversee IT Infrastructure vendors and project/maintenance service contracts and liaise with service providers for quality improvement.
  • Manage the organisation's IT assets inventory, including tracking and disposal.
  • Develop infrastructure roadmaps and disaster recovery services to mitigate service interruptions.
  • Contribute to the digitisation and digitalisation efforts of the organisation in the infrastructure domain.
  • Establish and maintain work processes, standards, and documentation for efficiency based on ITIL methodology.
  • Stay up to date on the latest IT trends and technologies relevant to operations.



Job Requirements

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating IT teams.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations principles.
  • Experience with IT service management tools and methodologies (ITIL, ITSM preferred).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IT infrastructure.
  • Project management experience.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Certifications in IT operations management (e.g., ITIL certifications).
