Learning Consultant (Training & Adult Education)

Who We Are

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Consultant to join our team. As a Learning Consultant, you will play a crucial role in managing TAE (Training & Adult Education) projects, driving departmental initiatives, and fostering communication with diverse stakeholders from both the Government as well as the private sector. Your ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with various partners to achieve SUSS-IAL’s objectives will be essential.

What You Will Be Doing

The Learning Consultant is a member of the Department for Professional Development. He/she will assist the HOD to lead, coordinate and drive all aspects of the assigned projects and initiatives to ensure completion at the quality required, on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is passionate and seeks to make a difference in the field of Adult Education, possesses the necessary skills, and who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Lead and oversee TAE (Training and Adult Education) projects from inception to completion. Coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of both internal and external stakeholders to assess learning needs.
  • Conceptualise and work with curriculum specialists on design and develop learning solutions.
  • Ensure the project/initiative deliverables, quality standards, and deadlines are met, and provide leadership to the team (where applicable to the project).
  • Maintain and update projects, stakeholder meetings, budget, and reports with a meticulous attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and quality.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading / managing learning projects and initiatives, preferably at the organisational/sectoral level.
  • At least 5 years of experience in adult education, instructional design, and/or curriculum development
  • Keeping current of developments in the area of Adult Learning / Education, and educational technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PPT) and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Thrive in a minimal supervision environment, demonstrating self-motivation and autonomy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
     

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or related to Teaching, Instructional Design
  • WSQ ACTA/ACLP/DACE/DDDLP.
  • Prior experience demonstrated by a Master of Professional Education (MAPE), or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
     

Others:

  • The position is based in IAL’s premises at Lifelong Learning Institute in Paya Lebar.
