Learning Innovator (Assistant Manager)

Job Description

In this position, the appointee will co-develop and implement Institute for Adult Learning's efforts to drive learning innovation.

  • Identify areas for innovation, design and develop programme initiatives, activities and collaborative approaches to realise learning innovation
  • Develop, trial and manage in-house experimentation projects, including new learning solutions, products, processes or pedagogies
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with a diverse range of sector stakeholders, including Training Providers, enterprise L&D practitioners, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and educational-technology solutionists to enable further in-depth innovation
  • Provide advisory and consultancy services for and encourage the adoption of learning innovation
  • Develop innovative technology-enabled resources to facilitate innovative learning practices and adoption within the CET sector
  • Identify and curate existing best in class learning innovation for showcase, sharing and implementation
  • Conduct training and sharing sessions on curated or developed learning innovations
  • Conduct and manage action research on innovation and the various projects brokered and developed by iN.LAB
  • Co-create key activities and events
  • Any other duties, including cross divisional projects, that may be assigned by the management from time to time to meet the needs of the organisation and changing environment, as well as for staff capability development

The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute at Paya Lebar.

Job Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in Education, Adult Education, Learning and Development or Software Development
  • At least 7 years years of experience in designing and developing technology-enabled learning, Multimedia Production, Education technologies and / or have worked in a technology start-up
  • At least 7 years of experience and proven competencies in supporting adult education, adoption of learning technologies and production of learning resources
  • Strong pedagogical and andragogical foundation
  • Familiar with Singapore’s Continuing Education and Training (CET) landscape and have good network of learning solution providers, enterprises, Training Providers and/or IHLs
  • Able to analyse, evaluate and assess learning challenges and the recommended solutions put forward
  • Proven skills in networking, business acumen, conceptualisation, project management and project implementation
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively
