Job Description
The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is one of Singapore’s six autonomous universities and its mission is to inspire lifelong learning and transform society through applied social sciences. Home to more than 21,000 students, SUSS offers both fresh school leavers and adult learners an applied education with a focus on the social sciences. It adopts a flexible and practice-focused learning approach and offers more than 90 degree programmes in various disciplines. Applications are invited for an open-rank faculty position in the area of Chinese Studies at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
The successful candidate will join the Languages cluster in the School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences and will be expected to teach and conduct research in Chinese Studies and closely related fields.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree holder in Chinese Studies from a reputable university. PhD candidates nearing completion will also be considered.
- Candidates should have teaching and/or working experience in a relevant field.
- Proficient in English and Chinese as the successful candidate will be required to manage Chinese Studies programme.
- Experience in online teaching or online course management will be an added advantage.
