About The Job
The Manager (Security Management), Campus Planning & Development is responsible for campus-wide security planning and implementation, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and integration of security systems for the development of SUSS’s new campus.
What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Associate Director to lead and implement security strategies to safeguard future campus operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the university’s risk management objectives.
- Developing a campus-wide security master plan aligned with the university’s risk profile and operational needs.
- Define security design principles and ensure integration across architectural, engineering, and space planning design during all design and construction stages.
- Coordinate the development of security systems, response infrastructure, and emergency management plans across co-located campuses, working closely with relevant consultants, specialists, and operational stakeholders.
- Support engagements with authorities and agencies to ensure timely submissions, and compliance with security, safety, and fire regulations.
- Review, evaluate, and advise on security-related design proposals, specifications, drawings and material proposals from consultants and contractors to meet the project objectives and requirements, and to achieve the required quality and regulatory compliances within the budget.
- Attend consultant and site meetings with the Project Team and to carry out inspections on site to ensure that the relevant works carried out by the builder to meet the desired quality/workmanship and are completed on time and within budget.
- Support planning and execution of incident response procedures, tabletop exercises, emergency drills, and coordination with external first responders to ensure operational preparedness for campus opening.
- Provide technical support to stakeholders in the resolution of technical issues when needed.
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required in the course of work.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Security Management, Facilities Management, Built Environment, or related field
- Mininum 10 years of experience in physical security operations or security management for large/complex facilities
- Experience in security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, SOC, visitor management)
- Experience in incident response, emergency drills, and coordination with external agencies/responders
- Proven experience in guard force management and vendor oversight
- Experience in writing SOPs and emergency response plans
- Familiar with government policies, regulatory requirements, and key agency processes
- Professional security certifications (e.g. ASIS International) is an advantage
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)
