About the Job
We are seeking a forward-thinking Manager/Senior Manager, Employee Experience, Culture & Organisation Transformation to lead the development of enterprise-wide strategies that strengthen organisational culture, enhance employee engagement, and enable successful transformation across the University.
Reporting to senior HR leadership, this role serves as a key architect of culture and employee engagement initiatives, translating institutional priorities into people strategies that drive organisational effectiveness, workforce commitment, and sustainable change.
The incumbent will partner closely with senior leaders to shape employee experiences, strengthen change readiness, build leadership communication capability, and foster a culture that supports the university's long-term strategic ambitions.
What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
Organisation Change & Culture Transformation
- Lead and drive end-to-end change management initiatives supporting university priorities and transformation efforts
- Develop and drive the university's employee experience strategy to strengthen organisational effectiveness, workforce engagement, and culture alignment in support of institutional priorities.
- Partner senior leaders to embed university values and culture into daily practices and decision-making
- Develop targeted interventions to address culture gaps based on employee insights and university’s needs
Employee Experience & Engagement Strategy
- Develop and execute employee experience strategies that enhance engagement, wellbeing, and overall workplace satisfaction
- Translate employee feedback (e.g. surveys, focus groups) into actionable insights and university-wide initiatives
- Architect enterprise-wide employee experience frameworks that influence organisational culture, strengthen employee value proposition, and support workforce transformation goals.
- Partner cross-functional teams to improve key employee touchpoints across the lifecycle
Internal Communications & Change Communications
- Develop and lead the internal communications strategy aligned with university goals and transformation priorities
- Craft and drive change communication plans, including key messaging, leadership narratives, and engagement campaigns
- Advise senior stakeholders on communication approaches for complex or sensitive university matters
- Oversee communication channels (e.g. intranet, town halls, digital platforms) to ensure clarity, consistency, and effectiveness
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Influence
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organisational culture, employee sentiment, change readiness, and workforce engagement risks and opportunities.
- Build strong partnerships across HR, IT, and business units to deliver integrated people initiatives
- Influence stakeholders to drive alignment, engagement, and adoption of key initiatives
- Represent employee experience and culture in cross-functional projects
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and develop a small team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members to build capabilities in employee engagement and communications
- Drive team effectiveness and delivery excellence
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish metrics and dashboards to track employee engagement, communication effectiveness, and culture outcomes
- Analyse data and insights to refine strategies and improve impact
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in employee experience, culture, and communications
Job Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field
- At least 6–8 years of relevant experience in employee experience, internal communications, university development, or change management
- Proven experience in leading change or transformation initiatives
- Strong experience in internal communications strategy and execution (including leadership communications)
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at senior levels and influence outcomes
- Experience in leading teams or project teams
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Data-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into action
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
