About The Job
The Manager/Senior Manager (Operations & Maintenance Services), Infrastructure, reports to the Director of Infrastructure and is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of critical infrastructure. This role focuses on implementing proactive strategies to ensure the continuous improvement and optimal performance of our facilities.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient upkeep of teaching and learning spaces to support academic excellence.
- Coordinate regular inspections and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Oversee the functionality of audio-visual systems and conferencing equipment.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to address system upgrades and technical issues.
- Manage the upkeep of recreational and student-centric areas to promote wellness and engagement.
- Ensure equipment safety and compliance with standards.
- Supervise the maintenance of air-conditioning systems, air handling units, and fan coil units.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
- Manage power systems to ensure uninterrupted supply and address outages or system failures.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives in line with sustainability goals.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance and optimisation of smart lighting systems and IoT-enabled sensors.
- Collaborate with vendors to drive innovation in building automation.
- Ensure the functionality and compliance of fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
- Conduct regular drills and system tests.
- Manage renovation, upgrading, and retrofitting projects to enhance campus facilities.
- Liaise with contractors and consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field with more than 10 years of relevant working experience.
- A resourceful team player and leader with a lot of initiative and an ability to work independently Good time management
- Mature and meticulous
- Strong project management skills, with experience in handling A&A and upgrading works.
- Familiarity with building automation systems and IoT solutions is a plus.
