About the Job
The Senior Manager (Strategic Planning), Campus Planning & Development, reports to the Senior Associate Director, Campus Planning & Development, and is responsible for the overall planning and management of Campus Development Project to meet the strategic, financial, quality and operational objectives of the University.
What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities
- Overall strategic planning of the Campus Development Project to ensure that key milestones of the project are efficiently achieved on target and align with University vision and objectives.
- Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on project requirements and compliances. This will include planning and managing processes for funding approvals, consultations and clearances with authorities and government agencies, seeking approval from University management and oversight committees.
- Oversee team of multi-disciplinary consultants and monitor that the project complete within schedule and approved budget to meet the project strategic, design, quality and operational objectives.
- Plan and monitor the financial requirements of the project including long-term and short-term forecasting of financial cashflow, preparations of annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and reporting.
- Manage the project include planning and monitoring of detailed design development, procurement, construction, site supervision, testing and commissioning, project handing over, defects liabilities and rectifications.
- Oversee data management throughout project lifecycle and ensure proper documentation of essential data, financial information and authorities’ approval etc.
- Plan, monitor and update project programme and progress, including dashboard development and control for management reporting.
- Manage internal and external audits.
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required in the course of work.
Job Requirements
- A recognised Degree in Building/Architecture/Engineering or relevant Degree from a recognised University with at least 10 years of relevant working experience as Project Manager preferably in public/developer organisations or consulting firms.
- Relevant experience in the project and contract management of large scale development projects.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement framework and policies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive working attitude.
- Good writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Meticulous and capable of working independently to resolve issues and challenges.
- Strong time management and work well under pressure.
- Good team player.
- Conversant with various applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
