About The Job

The successful candidate will provide counselling services to students of SUSS. He/she will contribute to program design, strategic planning and clinical supervision to improve clinical services, group-based interventions. He/she will also contribute to clinical supervision/training of counsellors/practicum students.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilites:

  • Provide quality clinical services, covering both individual one to one, and group-based interventions.
  • Supervise counsellors and practicum students in area of clinical work and training.
  • Oversee policies and protocols about student mental health/clinical concerns at university level
  • Design and run therapeutic groups to cater to diverse needs of student body
  • Conduct training programmes, seminars and workshops related to mental health prevention, interventions and psycho-education for both staff and students
  • Contribute to strategic planning for clinical programs ensuring they operate at highest quality and standards
  • Spearhead collaborative activities and programmes with staff and Faculty to build synergistic relationships across university departments and Schools.
  • Participate in evaluative research initiatives to inform clinical practice and mental health strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Master Degree in Psychology/Counselling, with at least 8-10 years’ relevant clinical working experience. Recognised post-graduate qualifications in clinical supervision.
  • Leadership track record in running counselling/intervention/clinical supervision departments, with established clinical expertise and experience in overseeing practicum of students/interns
  • Show depth in clinical and specialist counselling/treatment skills including specific modalities, ability to teach and supervise in the chosen modality(s).
  • Ability to work on broad strategic projects and day-to-day process-oriented tasks.
  • Strong ability to lead, nurture and grow staff capabilities/potential
  • Articulate with strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Possess strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Resourceful team player who can work in teams and display initiative.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and use of technology for communications/data analyses.
  • Willing to work in the evenings
