About The Job

The School of Science and Technology at SUSS is seeking dedicated Project Officers to join an NParks project focused on tree root anchorage in Singapore. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, conducting essential research on tree stability in urban settings.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the project framework to meet and exceed project objectives.
• Conduct field and lab tests, gather and analyze data, and coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Assist in data analysis, prepare reports, and develop presentation materials for stakeholder meetings.
• Engage and work effectively with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science-related discipline.
• Comfortable with fieldwork, equipment handling, and occasional transportation of equipment; a Class 3 driving license is preferred.
• Appreciation for outdoor work and an interest in trees.
• Familiarity with electronic devices is advantageous.
• Mature, meticulous and possess high level of discretion and integrity. 
• Effective interpersonal skills with excellent command of written and spoken English
• Resourceful team player who is able to work indpendently and display initative. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able to do data analysis and information research
