About The Role

The Research Analyst of the Office for Skills-First Practices will lead research projects, analyse data, and produce insights reports to target audiences. 

What You Will Be Doing

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the successful candidate will:

  • Drive research and analytics projects from conception to completion, including study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct quantitative and/or qualitative data collection, data preparation and data analyses using statistical software and data tools.
  • Interpret data findings and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations for programmatic and policy decisions.
  • Organise research-related events to solicit input and/or disseminate research findings to targeted audiences.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the research and analytics projects through stakeholder feedback, project evaluations and other assessment methods.
  • Support the Office to bid for competitive research projects.
  • Manage relationships with global research partners, consultants and vendors as needed.
  • Monitor the budget for research and analytics projects.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and policies governing the Office’s operations.
  • Stay current with trends and developments in skills-first initiatives and practices.
  • Invest in capability development in research and analytics.
  • Champion an innovative and caring work culture.

Job Requirements

  • At least four years of stint in a research or analytics unit that addresses social science research questions.
  • Post-grad qualification in relevant disciplines, e.g. mathematics, labour economics, political economy, data science, preferred.
  • Strong in quantitative research.
  • Experience in using data analytics and data science methods to conduct analysis.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • The successful appointee will be based in IAL campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute at Paya Lebar.
