Job Description

The Teaching and Learning Centre at Singapore University of Social Sciences is inviting applications for a full-time research assistant position for one or two years. The research assistant will work closely with the project leaders on a MOE TRF project. The project examines how university instructors perceive and use feedback dashboards and how they may impact their teaching practices and students’ learning experiences.  

The research assistant will take the following responsibilities by working with the project leaders: 

  • Oversee the general management and administration of the project (e.g., organizing meetings and recording meeting minutes) 
  • Assist in the literature review, data collection, data analysis, and paper writing 
  • Assist in preparing both the progress and final reports of the project 
  • Work on other tasks assigned by the project leaders. 

Job Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or hold a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, Educational Psychology, Psychology) 
  • Have experience in educational research 
  • Familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods is essential, and experience with factor analysis is a valuable bonus. 
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Be able to work collaboratively in a team 
  • Have good oral and written communication skills
