About the Project:
A/P Atiqah Azhari, Associate Professor at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), leads a transformative research project titled "Building Resilience in Singaporean Families through App-Based Acquisition of Coping Strategies." This innovative project combines neuroscientific research and cutting-edge technology to explore and enhance coping mechanisms among parents and children facing everyday stressors.

Project Goals:

  • Investigate neuroscientific mechanisms underlying dyadic coping and stress management within parent-child relationships.
  • Develop a scientifically-backed micro-learning mobile application designed to equip parents with practical, evidence-based coping strategies.
  • Contribute meaningful insights aimed at strengthening family resilience and addressing broader mental health needs in Singapore.

Job Description

About the Role:
Dr. Azhari’s BRAIN Lab seeks motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistants to actively contribute to this pioneering research.

Successful candidates will engage in:

  • Conducting neuroscientific research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to stress and coping.
  • Supporting the development and testing of the mobile application prototype.
  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive impactful outcomes that support family well-being.
