About The Job

We are looking for a proactive Research Assistant to support a research project focused on gerontology, ageing, and community care innovation. You will assist with both research and project administration, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver project goals.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the project, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports/presentations, and managing procurement processes.
  • Coordinate and monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure smooth execution.
  • Assist in literature reviews, data collection (e.g. surveys, interviews), and research-related documentation.
  • Liaise with internal departments and community partners for implementation and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and programme feedback.
  • Organise and support logistics for stakeholder meetings, workshops, and public engagement events.
  • Track project milestones, prepare documentation for reporting, and ensure good record-keeping practices.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support the research and community engagement efforts.

Job Requirements

  • A recognised degree or diploma, preferably in social sciences, gerontology, public health, psychology, or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience, particularly in project administration or research support.
  • Strong interest in eldercare, ageing, and/or community-based research.
  • Excellent coordination, administrative, and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and adapt to dynamic project needs.
  • Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools like NVivo, SPSS, or Qualtrics is an advantage.
