The Singapore University of Social Sciences seeks candidates for a renewable contract appointment as a Research Engineer.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications for threat detection and escalation. 
• Develop backend logic for data anonymization and privacy abstraction layers.
• Implement database schemas for consent verification and contact hierarchies.
• Design and implement asynchronous messaging pipelines and queue mechanisms for reliable alert dispatching.
• Build secure API endpoints for data exchange across system modules.
• Execute backend unit testing and functional verification in a controlled environment.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong software engineering skills with experience in building web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with data protection frameworks, API design, and backend testing tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile development setup.
