What You Will Be Doing

Project Summary

The research team in the Teaching and Learning Centre at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is seeking a qualified Research Fellow to participate in a study titled “A Pilot Study on an Adaptive Learning System (ALS)-Enabled Community Academic Support Programme for Low-SES Students.”

This project examines the implementation and impact of an adaptive learning system–enabled community academic support programme for students from low socioeconomic backgrounds.  The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, involving instrument development, surveys, field observations, interviews, learning analytics, data mining and analysis of system-generated data, alongside programme documentation and reports. The complexity of learning pathways and learner engagement will be systematically examined in relation to academic and non-academic outcomes.

The Research Fellow will be expected to:
1.    Design and conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and research activities aligned with the project objectives
2.    Perform advanced quantitative and qualitative data analyses
3.    Prepare high-quality research reports, academic manuscripts, presentations, and dissemination materials
4.    Support project management, including coordination with stakeholders, community partners, timelines, and deliverables
5.    Assist with research ethics applications, documentation, and reporting requirements
