The Singapore University of Social Sciences invites suitable applications for the position of Research Fellow on a 24-month contract (renewable) at the School of Business for the above-mentioned project.
What You Will Be Doing
Project Summary
The goal of this multi-study research is to systematically understand how AI tools can augment the healthcare system to enable better resource allocations for an aging population. More importantly, we hope to study how the Singapore healthcare system can navigate the sociotechnical challenges faced when using such AI tools and, more broadly, the policy and governance implications of the broad-based implementation of AI tools within the healthcare context. The staff will support two key studies: the first is on the sociotechnical integration of primary and tertiary care enabled by AI tools, and the second is the sociotechnical evaluation of AI governance for healthcare cluster.
Job Scope
- Conduct literature review and synthesizing theoretical frameworks
- Conduct data collection such as video recording, interviews, and administer surveys (via Qualtrics)
- Adapt and implement data collection instruments (interview questions, questionnaires)
- Qualitative data processing and analysis using QDA tools (MAXQDA)
- Project and data management for multiple projects
- Academic journal and cases study writing and publication
- Other research related tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator
Job Requirements
- Possess a PhD degree in Business, Information Systems or equivalent
- Prior experience in research related to AI and/or information systems implementation projects
- Experience with qualitative research methods (e.g., interviews, observation, qualitative data analysis)
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work flexibly, as part of a team, as well as independently with minimum supervision
