About The Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting strategic and applied research projects focused on addressing critical social issues such as lifelong and inclusive education, healthcare, resilient families, environment and sustainability through data-driven approaches. The role requires expertise in social science, data analysis, and research methodologies.
What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualisation and execution of high-impact research projects aligned with the Centre’s vision for social good, including the design and implementation of impact assessment methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of social programs and interventions.
- Design and implement quantitative and qualitative research studies to explore key social issues.
- Analyse large datasets using advanced statistical tools to extract meaningful insights related to social impact.
- Collaborate with external partners to collect data and information required for projects, ensuring ethical standards are maintained.
- Engage with non-profit organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions to support research collaboration on social good projects.
- Lead the preparation of grant applications and proposals to secure funding from governmental, non-governmental, and philanthropic sources.
- Collaborate with the Centre’s leadership to identify new funding opportunities that align with the Centre’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient use of funds and personnel.
- Prepare high-quality research reports, policy briefs, academic publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, contribute to white papers, and present at conferences.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Health, Economics, Data Science, Sociology, Environmental Studies, etc.) or master’s degree with significant research experience.
- At least 3 years of post-doctoral or equivalent research experience, ideally in social impact or related fields.
- Proven experience leading research projects with interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through grants or partnerships.
- Good publication record in relevant fields.
- Advanced expertise in research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools
- Strong understanding of data visualisation and reporting techniques.
- Excellent communication and writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on applying research to real-world challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
