What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities: 

Project Management

  • Accountable for the overall successful delivery of programmes and/or projects.
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery to ensure targets, timelines, and quality standards are met, including user requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and review project artefacts and deliverables to ensure compliance with organisational guidelines, policies, and quality standards.
  • Manage procurement activities, including preparation and publication of tender specifications, evaluation of solutions and vendors, and contract management.
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements, build strong relationships, and ensure alignment of expectations.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure successful delivery of products and services in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Lead and manage project teams to optimise manpower resources while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

 

Operational Assurance

  • Accountable for the overall delivery of application maintenance and support services, ensuring service levels and SLAs are consistently met.
  • Oversee and/or provide application support, including incident resolution, service request fulfilment, troubleshooting, system maintenance, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Develop, review, and maintain system documentation, artefacts, and deliverables to ensure compliance with SUSS standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Perform system and data analysis, including identifying and resolving issues in existing system logic, processes, and procedures, and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Manage audit queries and ensure compliance with audit, security, and governance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business users, serving as a trusted technology partner.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders in annual IT planning activities, including project prioritisation, roadmap development, and enhancement planning.
  • Manage vendor relationships and work closely with external partners to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance and support services in accordance with contractual obligations.

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in the IT industry, including a minimum of 5 years in a hands-on technical role and 5 years in project management.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional and cross-departmental projects.
  • Experience overseeing projects with budgets.
  • Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiation.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior Project Managers.
  • Strong understanding of IT technologies, architectures, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent business analysis and process improvement capabilities, with the ability to quickly understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex technical and business requirements clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging senior management, users, and external vendors.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Positive attitude, strong learning agility, and collaborative team player.
