Senior Executive, Entrepreneurship

About The Job

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about entrepreneurship; have awareness of current and emerging practices in the startup industry; are committed to help expand entrepreneurship offerings globally; have a keen interest in preparing and supporting young aspiring entrepreneurs and student startups; and are able to fulfill operational and administrative duties.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the conceptualising, design, development and organisation of the Venture Builder programme to increase the number of students starting businesses.
• Assist in the conceptualising, design, development and organisation of the Market Access Programme to increase the number of impact ventures expanding beyond Singapore market.
• Provide administrative management of Venture Builder and Market Access programmes.
• Engage and manage relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
• Assist in the overseas expansion of the universities’ offerings globally, especially in ASEAN and China.
• Undertake secondary appointments or duties in SUSS as required. 

The successful candidate will be involved the following:

• Co-design and drive start up acceleration for the Venture Builder Programme and Market Access Programme
• Develop and execute strategy for outreach, recruitment, and onboarding of students and participants onto programmes
• Account manage startups under these programmes
• Conduct evaluation and assessment of startups
• Drive community building initiatives and manage relationship development of community of startups, mentors, partners, corporates, SUSS internal stakeholders and alumni
• Ensure close management of milestones and progress of entrepreneurs and startups
• Provide coaching and advisory support for fundraising and grant application activity
• Assist in overseas expansion or incorporation of startups locally and in the region, especially in ASEAN and China

Job Requirements

• Degree holder with 5 years experience. Experience in a non-governmental organisation (NGO), social service agency (SSA), social enterprise, tech start up, venture capital, incubator, accelerator or as entrepreneur will be useful.
• Analytical with strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Intellectually inquisitive; with a good awareness of current and global affairs.
• Driven, organised and detail-oriented.
• Keen interest and ability in operational and administrative tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and graphic design software.
• Able to travel as required.
