About The Job

The candidate will provide comprehensive support to the Office of the Provost in the oversight of academic matters across the Schools. The role will contribute to the effective coordination of activities between academic and administrative units, the implementation of strategic initiatives, and the provision of research and administrative support. The candidate will also assist with the planning and delivery of visiting delegations, specialised academic programmes, and summer schools, ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day operations.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilites:

  • Prepare, collate, and maintain data, documentation, updates, and reports relating to research milestones, outcomes, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Schools and administrative divisions to support the enhancement of processes and the implementation of new workflows.
  • Assist in the delivery of new initiatives under the direction of the Office of the Provost, ensuring work plans are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the organisation of academic visits, delegations, and specialised programmes, including the coordination and delivery of summer schools.
  • Provide secretariat support for meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.
  • Participate and assist in University-wide activities as specified in the respective action plans and/or duty rosters, e.g., examination invigilation, orientation, convocation, etc.
  • Assist with any other ad-hoc projects, tasks and duties as necessary and/or assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Relevant experience or certification in project management will be an advantage.
  • A resourceful team player who is proactive and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work independently, and exercise critical thinking
  • Good time management and meticulous
  • Effective interpersonal skills with excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Familiar with most Microsoft Office applications
