About the Job
The Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC) promotes teaching excellence, learner development, and scholarly practice in higher education. We support the university community through research-informed pedagogies and innovative learning support strategies.
What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a Senior Executive to play a pivotal role in supporting TLC’s education research initiatives, and teaching and learning strategies. This role will organise the execution of operational and strategic functions tied to research agendas, academic initiatives and university-wide collaborations.
The Senior Executive will be responsible for:
- The administration of educational research-related operations (e.g., finance and procurement processes), including the planning and coordination of high-impact activities (e.g., research meetings, learning events and symposia) with a focus on promoting strategic priorities.
- Delivering support for strategic collaborations, including identifying new opportunities and optimising strategies.
- Designing and implementing feedback mechanisms on service delivery, collating and analysing the data to provide data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
- Developing and managing related educational research digital platforms, and ensuring timely and accessible dissemination of research outcomes, grant processes, and scholarly initiatives.
- Providing university-wide pre and post educational research grant award administrative support.
- Developing new grant call administrative processes and procedures, reviewing/refining existing processes for continuous improvement, and maintaining related documentations.
- Coordinating responses and materials for institutional and external audits related to educational research and grants.
- Translating research findings into practitioner-friendly resources (e.g., digital content, toolkits, learning guides) to support the application of evidence-based practices in teaching and learning across the university.
- Undertaking special projects or additional responsibilities as delegated, including cross-functional initiatives.
Job Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Relevant qualifications, preferably in office administration, project/events management and/or mass communication & marketing
- At least 3 years of working experience in a research setting with strong skills in organising local and international academic events
- Strong coordination, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, good time management and resourcefulness
- Ability of multi-tasking and responding to changing priorities
- Quality of being meticulous with great attention to detail
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, preferably for mass communication
- Proficiency in data, web-based applications and are IT savvy
