The Senior Executive (Global Learning) reports to the Head (Global Learning), and is responsible for supporting Outreach, Partnerships and the Summer Inbound Programme to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the SUSS Core.
What You Will Be Doing
Outreach and Partnership Development
- Support the Head (Partnerships & Development) and Head, Global Learning to manage a portfolio of partners; support in coordinating with other departments on partnership-related matters; and supporting the preparation of necessary documentation.
- Coordinate meetings with partners, track outcomes, and collaborate with programme owners to maintain records of partnership activities, preparing and providing regular reports and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to enquiries, requests for visits and collaboration; manage and coordinate visits, including preparation of reports; logistics and hospitality; and post-meeting follow-up.
Summer Inbound Programme
- Provide administrative and operational support related to the set-up, coordination and development of the new Summer Inbound programme.
- Provide administrative support to instructors involved in designing and implementing the academic components of the programmes.
- Plan pre and post-programme publicity campaigns, including the preparation of promotional materials and organising outreach events.
Short-term Immersion
Provide administrative and logistical support for the overseas component of the NIE351 Interdisciplinary Global Learning course:
- Manage student travel arrangements including flight bookings, accommodation and land arrangements in consultation with instructors and partner institutions.
- Manage vendor and contract management.
- Conduct pre-departure briefings, ensuring compliance and implementation of crisis management protocols for student travels.
- Overseas travel may be required to support instructors in the management of students and logistics.
Budget administration and management
- Collate budget and expenditure data.
- Support procurement and finance administration to process payments for vendors and suppliers.
Others
- Support department events and activities, as well as university-wide projects and activities.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
• Degree holder with at least 5 years of experience within an institution of higher learning or operations in a university/educational setting would be an advantage.
• Proven experience in the administration of student mobility programmes.
• Perform administrative tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ability to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of student data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent teamwork capabilities, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent coordination, administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Flexibility for international travel.
