About The Job
The Payroll Senior Executive oversees the accurate and prompt execution of payroll processes, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements at the University. This role is critical in streamlining payroll operations, enhancing employee satisfaction, and safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of payroll data through efficient systems and practices.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for all employees (including full-time, part-time, and associates) in compliance with statutory requirements and university policies, using SAP SuccessFactors.
- Prepare and review monthly payroll reports, including variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Handle CPF submissions, income tax filings (IR8A, IR21), NS claims, and Government-Paid Leave claims.
- Manage employee benefits administration related to payroll, such as leave encashment, overtime claims, reimbursements, and deductions.
- Administer and maintain the payroll system, ensuring data accuracy and up-to-date employee records.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Liaise with Finance, external vendors, and statutory boards for reconciliation and compliance matters.
- Participate in payroll system enhancements or HR projects, including UAT testing and process improvements.
- Keep abreast of changes in payroll regulations, employment law and best practices.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements to payroll processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support to HR team members where necessary.
- Any ad-hoc HR operational/administration duties as per assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Human Resource Management, similar or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore employment laws, CPF act, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Good at using Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
- A good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and levels.
