Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, External Relations

Job Description

The shortlisted candidate will report to the Director, External Relations and undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Support the Director in strategic planning and the development and operation of External Relations to achieve the set objectives and targets
  • Manage the relationship development and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders in attending to their enquiries and interests in establishing collaborations with the university
  • Plan and organise /support external affairs & partners’ engagement events & activities, campus visits and meetings, MOU signing ceremony etc
  • Develop and manage the online stakeholders’ database system and partnership agreements listing
  • Lead External Relations’ outreach functions & marketing activities; develop collaterals and materials, including website; and support in marketing efforts e.g. participating in key fairs & conference
  • Assist in vendors management and provide support on various initiatives, programmes and activities with the external partners & client organisations
  • Provide general administrative & operational supports to the department

Job Requirements

  • Degree holders with minimum 3-4 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in a marketing, relationship development or communications-related field
  • Strong people-to-people relationship development & management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good event management skills and experience in planning and executing all aspects of events & activities
  • Ability to create and support a solid internal and external network to ensure successful execution of events and other activities
  • Self-motivation but team oriented, with a strong commitment to team members and client impact
