Job Description

The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is one of Singapore’s six autonomous universities and its mission is to inspire lifelong learning and transform society through applied social sciences. Home to more than 21,000 students, SUSS offers both fresh school leavers and adult learners an applied education with a focus on the social sciences. It adopts a flexible and practice-focused learning approach and offers more than 90 degree programmes in various disciplines. Applications are invited for an open-rank faculty position in the area of Public Safety and Security (Counter-terrorism, Criminology and Security Studies) at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.

The successful candidate will join the Behavioural Sciences cluster in the School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences and will be expected to teach and conduct research in counter-terrorism and deradicalisation, transnational crime, and criminology and closely related fields.

Job Requirements

• PhD degree holder in Sociology, Criminology, Forensic Psychology or Security Studies from a reputable university. PhD candidates nearing completion will also be considered.
• Candidates with teaching and/or working experience in the relevant area will have an added advantage.
• Candidates with online teaching or online course management experience will also have an added advantage during the selection process.
