About The Job
The Senior Manager (Project Management), reports to the Associate Director/Senior Associate Director (Project Management), and is responsible for the project management duties related to SUSS’s project. The scope of works includes end-to-end management of the project from inception, procurement of services and works, construction, handover, to post-construction activities. In the process, the Senior Manager (Project Management) will need to liaise and coordinate with all key stakeholders of the project, including the end User, to ensure project timeliness as well as efficient management of cost, safety and quality standards.
What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the project management of the project, which encompasses overseeing the procurement, design development, consultancy and construction contracts management, commissioning and project handover to end User.
- Oversee design development and construction of the project, including coordination with end User and various stakeholders.
- Responsible for liaising with technical agencies and end User on matters pertaining to authority clearances to facilitate project progress and timely approval and certification for occupation and statutory completion.
- Manage procurement of consultancy and construction packages for implementation of the project.
- Oversee and manage consultants and contractors in the delivery of their services for the implementation of the project.
- Plan, monitor and update programme and progress, including presentations for management reporting and seeking of necessary User approvals.
- Track project progress and initiate measures to bring project back on schedule should deviations to project programme occur.
- Meet financial objectives of the project by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, monitoring expenditures and project cashflow, exercising cost controls, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions. Prepare and present financial statements to end User for financial accounting and budgetary planning.
- Coordinate between key stakeholders for project alignment and fund transfers.
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required in the course of work.
Job Requirements
- A recognised Degree in Building/Architecture/Engineering or relevant Degree from a recognised University with at least 10 years of relevant working experience as Project Manager preferably in public/developer organisations or consulting firms.
- Relevant experience in the project management of development projects.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement framework and policies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive working attitude.
- Good writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Meticulous and capable of working independently to resolve issues and challenges.
- Good time management and work well under pressure.
- Good team player.
- Conversant with various applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
