About The Role

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Curriculum Development with the following responsibilities:

• Provide Educational Technology guidance and expertise for instructors (Adult Educators), particularly in using the Learning Management System.
• Work collaboratively with the learning designers to design, develop, and deliver Educational Technology initiatives that align with the institute’s mission.
• Works with vendors to manage and resolve complex issues with learning and collaborative technologies.
• Support Educational Technology use through advising, collaborating, and training of Adult Educators both in and out of the classroom.
• Provide support for educational technology devices, systems, and content.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of current and future uses of Educational Technology.
• In partnership with and propose new ways to enhance teaching and learning, promote innovation, and foster purposeful, meaningful, and creative integration of technology.
• A liaison with Division Heads to ensure seamless coordination of technology tools supporting curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• In coordination with the institute’s policies and procedures, promote continued development and use of current technology standards.
• Assess leaners’ educational needs and matching those needs with appropriate technologies
• May be called on to perform other responsibilities as appropriate and as assigned based on ongoing organizational needs and strategic direction

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT or related field of study
• Experience with Apple products (e.g. MacBooks, iMacs, and iPads)
• Experience with Google Chrome and Chrome OS devices
• Experience with G Suite Education (e.g. Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
• Experience with Training Management Systems(TMS)
• Experience with academic computing initiatives such as learning management system implementations, and school information systems implementations
• The position is based in IAL’s premises at Lifelong Learning Institute in Paya Lebar.
