About The Job

This position oversees the university laboratories and contributes to the development of AR/VR projects. You will be responsible for the setup, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of AR/VR equipment, lab computers, software and applications that are used for lab sessions, classes, exams and training sessions.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support students’ capstone projects, in particular AR/VR projects
• Providing user and maintenance support which includes investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving errors for AR/VR systems
• Setup and maintain VR labs
• Configure, maintain and support VR lab hardware and software for use in academic programmes and applied research
• Must be able to do basic AR/VR programming and must be willing to learn how to code.
• Provide technical support on implemented systems/platforms

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Computing/Immersive Media/Digital Media or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates/entry-level candidates with a portfolio to showcase relevant projects are welcome to apply.
• Hands-on experience with 3D modelling and basic AR/VR content development.
• Working knowledge in programming languages such as C# and C/C++.
• Familiar with VR/AR development tools and platforms such as Unity 3D, Autodesk Maya etc.
• Able to take challenges, work independently or as a team, and be self-driven to learn new technologies.
• Passionate and enthusiastic about VR/AR.
• Shift work is required, and shift allowance is provided
