Many of the wicked problems in society today require interconnected and interdependent perspectives and collective collaboration. The SUSS Core curriculum enables students to thrive in a VUCA world by equipping them with interdisciplinary & experiential learning tools and processes, enabling students to synthesise knowledge from multiple disciplines to address complex issues. Above all, we deepen students’ socio-cultural competence and social responsibility to the local and global community through sustainable, reciprocal engagement with partners on real-world issues.
The successful candidate is responsible for supporting the Office in Service-Learning programming- and event-related logistics in collaboration with all stakeholders (including external organisations and SUSS faculty/staff). The candidate is expected to possess good event management, administrative, communication and organisational skills; and be self-motivated and able to perform duties with little supervision.
The successful candidate will:
- Support the planning and implementation of events, workshops, activities, evaluations, risk assessment and safety, and administrative duties that support the Service-Learning programme.
- Support data management and analysis of the various Service-Learning events and initiatives.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g., SUSS staff, faculty/associate faculty, SUSS students, and community partners) in fulfilment of the abovementioned responsibilities.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor, as well as support department and university activities.
Job Requirements
- A Polytechnic Diploma/A levels holder/current undergraduate with at least 2 years of professional experience.
- Strong experience in logistics and event support
- Proficient in handling data and data entry, with data analytics skills preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.).
- Proficiency in Canva, graphic design, and photography are preferred.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, and a high level of integrity.
- Strong coordination and administrative skills, with the ability to manage and work independently.
