Job description

The staff will support the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) in organising and managing TLC’s events.


Job purpose

The staff will be part of the organizing committee for the inaugural SUSS SoTL Symposium, which will be held late this year. He/ She will support the coordination and running of the event.


Specific Responsibility & Weightage

As part of the TLC team, the successful candidate is expected to support the Centre’s activities including the following:

  1. Support the planning and execution of SoTL Symposium
  • Work with various stakeholders to organize SoTL Symposium
  • Coordinate and market the even in a timely manner
  • Support the running of symposium for its smooth and successful completion
  1. Support TLC’s events
  • Support TLC events and initiatives through timely dissemination of communication materials.
  • Undertake secondary appointments, duties or projects that may be assigned by Reporting Officer


Job requirements

  • Minimum Diploma holder
  • Experience in events management, including sourcing and liaising with external vendors with good understanding of logistics and operations and ability to assess and keep to timelines.
  • Efficient project manager who is meticulous and task-oriented and is able to manage different, interrelated tasks in an efficient and timely manner
  • Knowledge in digital marketing creation and dissemination. Familiar with design software (Canva, Photoshop), will be helpful
  • Strong communication skills to engage different stakeholders across the university
  • Team player who possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Keen and enthusiastic about learning
