Temp Communications Associate, Advancement
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to support the Advancement team’s communications efforts. This role will assist in executing digital content, website updates, and design work that contribute to SUSS’s fundraising and donor engagement objectives. The Associate will report to the Assistant Manager (Communications).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and scheduling social media posts to support fundraising campaigns and events
- Support in writing and editing content for donor updates, event collaterals, speeches, and internal communications
- Help maintain and update the Giving website, ensuring content is current and aligned with campaign messaging
- Design simple marketing assets (e.g. digital banners, social media graphics, eDM visuals) using brand guidelines
- Contribute to the production of donor engagement materials such as brochures and videos
- Help build and maintain a story bank featuring donors, students, and other community members
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors where needed to support campaign timelines
- Provide general communications, events, and admin support to the Advancement team\
Requirements:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content planning
- Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, or other editing tools
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- A keen interest in communications, design, or fundraising in the higher education or non-profit sector
