Temp Conference Secretariat Assistant

Job Description
As a Conference Secretariat Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of the Re:Define Success Conference 2025. Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the team on the planning, coordination, and execution of the conference.
  • Managing administrative tasks such as monitoring participant signups, collating data, and providing analysis for both the main conference and associated learning journeys.
  • Supporting event logistics including the preparation of venue and exhibit setups, and onsite arrangements.
  • Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure smooth delivery of services and compliance of processes. 
  • Handling general enquiries and providing timely responses related to the conference.
  • Assisting with outreach and engagement initiatives for the Student Success Centre (SSC) and the university.
  • Providing onsite secretariat support to conference delegates and presenters during conference days
  • Supporting post conference follow up actions such as stakeholder engagement, post survey analysis, reports, and publications. 

    Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree at SUSS.(preferably with a background in a related field).
  • Basic digital literacy skills for productivity including familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, or other online collaboration platforms.
  • Well-organised, proactive,, and attentive to detail​
  • Open to learning, and comfortable working both independently and in a team setting
  • Skills in content creation or data analysis would be a plus.
  • Able to commit until end September 2025.
