Temp Research Assistant for SUSS Sustainability Hackathon
The Behavioural Insights Centre for Excellence (BICE) is seeking students with a strong interest in supply chain, logistics, sustainability, and behavioural insights to join the organizing team for the inaugural SUSS Sustainability Hackathon. In this role, you will support research efforts by conducting literature reviews and gathering insights for the hackathon and related projects. Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks such as liaising and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing event publicity, and ensuring smooth execution on the event day. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in research, event coordination, and stakeholder management, allowing you to develop key skills while contributing to an impactful sustainability initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Analysis
- Conduct literature reviews to gather insights on sustainability, supply chain, logistics, and behavioural insights.
- Event Planning, Administrative & Coordination Tasks
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including companies, and potential speakers to plan for the event.
- Coordinate logistics such as schedules and participant communications.
- Support documentation and reporting efforts for the hackathon and related projects.
- Event Execution & Operations
- Oversee event logistics and operations, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants and guests.
- Provide on-site support, including registration, timekeeping, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the organising team to ensure the smooth flow of activities and adherence to the event schedule.
- Event Publicity & Marketing
- Assist in developing promotional materials and outreach strategies to engage Hackathon participants and attendees
