About The Job

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about entrepreneurship; have awareness of current and emerging practices in the startup industry; are committed to help expand entrepreneurship offerings to ASEAN and China; have a keen interest in preparing and supporting young aspiring entrepreneurs and student startups; and are able to fulfill operational and administrative duties.

Candidates should demonstrates sound judgment and adaptability, have an eye for collaborative possibilities and the ability to tackle challenging situations with finesse and determination. A willingness to travel when possible is also expected. Candidates should also have a good understanding of tech businesses and products as well as good knowledge of the startup ecosystem. Prior experience e.g. with a Tech start up, VC, incubator, accelerator, and/or in building and managing a community is a plus.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities: 

• Implement and drive start up acceleration for the Venture Builder Programmes
• Develop and execute strategy for outreach, attracting and onboarding students and entrepreneurs onto programmes
• Account manage startups under these programmes
• Support evaluation and assessment of startups
• Drive community building initiatives and support relationship development of community of startups, mentors, partners, corporates and alumni
• Administer operations of the incubation center
• Ensure tight management of milestones and progress of entrepreneurs and startup companies
• Assist in coaching and advisory support for fundraising and grant application activity
• Assist in overseas expansion or incorporation of startups locally and in the region, especially in ASEAN and China
• Engage and manage relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
• Undertake secondary appointments or duties in SUSS as required. 

Job Requirements

• Degree holder. Experience in a startup, VC, incubator, accelerator, corporate innovation department or as entrepreneur will be useful.
• Analytical with strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Intellectually inquisitive; with a good awareness of current and global affairs.
• Driven, organized and detail-oriented.
• Keen interest and ability in operational and administrative tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and graphic design software.
• Able to travel as required.
