Applications are invited for a Visiting Scholar position in the area of Finance at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.

 

The successful candidate will join the School of business and will be expected to contribute to a range of academic responsibilities, which include but not limited to academic mentorship and faculty development and conduct research in finance and closely related fields.

What You Will Be Doing

The successful candidate will join the School of Business and will be expected to contribute to a range of academic responsibilities, which include but not limited to:
 

Research

  • Contribute to the School’s research performance indicatorsPreference will be given to applicants whose research or teaching expertise cover the following areas: (a) private risk markets, (b) risk measurement. 

 

Academic mentorship and faculty development

  • Provide mentorship to faculty members and conduct workshops/ seminars to strengthen research capability

 

Internationalisation and collaboration

  • Strengthen partnerships with overseas institutions and facilitate joint research projects and publications

Job Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree holder in a relevant discipline from a reputable university. 
  • Extensive experience (a minimum of ten years) with relevant teaching and research in an established university.  
  • Demonstrate a strong research pipeline targeting recognizable and reputable academic journals. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of integrity
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, keep abreast of developments in their fields, think strategically, and be a role model to other faculty.
  • Currently Associate Professor or above.
