About the job

We are seeking a proficient and dedicated professional to assume the role of Webmaster. This position will be responsible for overseeing the university's Corporate Website and Intranet, as well as supporting other corporate application systems.

What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities: 

Website Maintenance & Support:

• Collaborate with vendor to design, develop, maintain and support the SUSS corporate website and Intranet.
• Enhance user experience by creating user-friendly, visually appealing, high performance and secure websites.
• Establish and ensure compliance to web publishing policies and guidelines.

Application Support & Maintenance:

• Maintain, upgrade and support existing corporate application systems.
• Gather and document business requirements, work with vendor to enhance the systems.

Project Planning & Management:

• Work with business departments to identify business needs and implement new systems (e.g. community engagement platform).
• Lead market research / feasibility study, plan the project, procure the solution, and implement the project.

Others:

• Manage quality of deliverables and performance of vendors.
• Assist Supervisor in other assigned duties.

Job Description

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• At least 4 years in IT industry.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with end users and vendors.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team.
• Must be proactive in nature, ability to learn fast and highly organized.
• Attention to detail with a good balance of creativity and analytical thinking.
• Knowledge and experience with Web Content Management System (WCMS), preferably Sitefinity.
• Experience in application systems maintenance and support, with knowledge of SDLC, RDBMS and SQL, is a bonus.
• Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, architectures, and best practices.
• Appreciation of cybersecurity best practices.
